Mordecai left the king's presence in royal robes of blue and white, with a magnificent crown of gold and a mantle of fine linen and purple wool. And the city of Shushan rang with joyous cries. The Jews enjoyed light and gladness, happiness and honor: Esther-8,15-16

It was on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, when I was on the bank of the great river-the Tigris-that I looked and saw a man dressed in linen, his loins girt in fine gold. This is the inventory: 30 gold basins, 1,000 silver basins, 29 knives. Ezra,1,7-9
