Nestled in a quiet street in Rehavia, just around the corner from the home of the president of Israel, is a bustling little business called
SUPERCLEAN.  Perhaps the oldest Laundromat in Jerusalem, it is owned and conducted by immigrants from South Africa, Fiona and

A rye Singer, who made aliyah just over thirty years ago.

The Singer family lived in a small town on the west coast of South Africa, about one hundred miles from Capetown and where only a few
Jewish families lived.  They owned a general store which sold just about anything and everything.

On making aliyah, Arye landed a job at a supermarket in the center of Jerusalem for two years, then decided to open a laundromat after
replying to an advertisement in the newspaper.  Some thirty years ago, the Singers bought out their partners and since that time have owned
the business outright.  Today, they employ nine staff members.

Rehavia is a good residential area where people look for service-orientated businesses such as a convenient and reliable laundromat, but in addition to the private business conducted at SUPERCLEAN, bulk cleaning from nearby hotels in the center of the city represents a healthy slice of the business.

Fiona indicated that bulk cleaning and washing is also provided for groups visiting Jerusalem.  SUPERCLEAN works closely with both the
Jewish Agency and numerous travel agencies.  The business is capable of providing a fast trun-around service for both large and small
orders.

This thriving small business in the center of suburban Jerusalem owes its success to the dedication of its founders and owners who place
great emphasis on maintaining outstanding service and integrity in their business transactions.

There is no shortage of small businesses in Israel, many operated by family members similar to the Singer family.  But to survive in the
small business world of today is essential that customer service of the highest order be placed at the top of the list of priorities.  It
is this philosophy which has made SUPERCLEAN such a successful enterprise.

Both Fiona and Arye Singer don't just advertise about giving good service. 

They offer it.  No order is too large or too small. 

And every transaction is accompanied by a friendly smile.  That was my personal experience which prompted me to put into words my own
shopping experience at SUPERCLEAN.
