The Samurai, warrior's class, ruled Japan for most of the last millennium.
They determined Japan's course of life, built and developed it.
In the year 1868 the samurai class lost their status and were declared illegal.
Japan started its encounter with the West technologically far behind the rest of the developed world – like the USA, France, England, Spain, but closed the gap in a few decades and turned to be an economic power and a military empire that went to war with Russia, China and others.
After their defeat in 1945 Japan rapidly turned to be a great economic power.
Who are the people who lead Japan to its success?
Did the samurai warriors vanished in history? Or do they live among us today?
The Aizu clan members came from the clan of the daimyo Takeda Shingen and they are preserving the samurai spirit and its contemporary ways.
The Aizu clan want to preserve their samurai heritage.
As one of the pupils of the Aizu Clan Martial Arts (through Daito-ryu) Nico Weinberger had the opportunity to explore the clan as a clan member.
Nico Weinberger: representative of the Daito-ryu aikijujutsu in Israel (Martial Arts of the Aizu clan) for the last 15 years. As a result of his acquaintance with the decadents of the Aizu samurai, Nico was able to research the link between the samurai warrior and the Japanese of today. |
מרצה: ניקו וינברגר
כמעט אלף שנים שלט ביפן מעמד הסמוראים. הם קבעו את כל מהלך החיים ביפן, ובמהלך התקופה, מימי הביניים ועד המאה ה-19, בנו ופיתחו אותה. בשנת 1868, הסתיים שלטון הסמוראים והם הוצאו בין לילה מחוץ לחוק .
בתחילת החצי השני של המאה ה-19 הייתה יפן בפיגור טכנולוגי גדול מאד ביחס לעולם המפותח של התקופה - ארה"ב, אנגליה, צרפת וספרד, אך תוך שנים לא רבות הפכה למעצמה כלכלית וצבאית אשר כבשה מדינות רבות באסיה ונלחמה במלחמת העולם השנייה כנגד כוחות הברית. לאחר תבוסתה בשנת 1945, הפכה יפן במהירות שיא למעצמה כלכלית אדירה, השנייה בגודלה בעולם.
מי הם האנשים אשר הובילו את התפתחותה האדירה של יפן?
האם באמת נעלמו הסמוראים, או שהם חיים בינינו גם כיום ?
שבט האייזו, נצר לדאימיאו טאקדה, הינו דוגמה לשימור רוח הלחימה הסמוראית ודרך ביטויה בימינו.
בני השבט מבקשים להמשיך ולשמר את מורשתם. כמי שמשמר כיום את מסורת אומנות הלחימה של שבט האייזו והתקבל כבן שבט, ניהל ניקו אין ספור שיחות עם בני השבט המקורי ונחשף לספרות השבט.
ניקו וינברגר: נציג ומורה הדאיטו ריו אייקיג'וג'וצו בישראל (אומנות הלחימה של שבט הסמוראים האייזו) ב-15 השנים האחרונות . כמורה בדאיטו ריו, החל לחקור את עברו העשיר של שבט האייזו ומשפחת טאקדה.
בעקבות היכרותו האישית עם צאצאי הסמוראים, חוקר ניקו את הקשר הישיר בין הסמוראי דאז לאזרח היפני כיום . |
